The Ladin language is considered the special feature of the Val Badia’s cultural landscape. The language was born two thousand years ago from Latin, and is still spoken by the people here. Ladin is specially protected as a minority language in South Tyrol and is seen as an important treasure that has shaped the culture of the whole valley for the last two millennia.
